On our journey to becoming a more self sufficient household (and a greener one too) I am endeavoring to make all of my own cleaning and personal products. If you haven’t seen my post about DIY dish soap you can check it out here.
Being a frugal lady and a person who hates waste, I’m only making my products as I run out of the ones I currently have. Well luck has it, I ran out of window cleaner! Yay for blog posts and the opportunity to try out another DIY natural cleaning product recipe.
I did a ton of research on this one. Recipes varied from just plain old vinegar and water, to ones with a million ingredients. The vinegar and water approach works. If that is what you are after check out Wellness Mama’s recipe. I opted for something a little more complicated because I also wanted to be able to use it on stainless steel. I couldn’t believe how well it worked on both stainless steel and glass! So I will share my recipe with you.
I stopped using paper towels about a month ago and I haven’t looked back since. I have a set of 12 and I’ve never run out before doing laundry. They work amazing for everything. Cleaning up spills and cleaning (including glass and mirrors). I use them for everything I used paper towels for, including pressing the liquid out of my tofu! I can’t say enough about them. If you don’t have a local WAHM (work at home mother) who makes them, then check out Etsy. They have tons of options for household and family cloth.
