Herbal, Homestead and Personal Goals for 2017

With 2017 fast approaching we’re working hard on setting our goals for the upcoming year. Whenever I’m setting new intentions and goals I always take a few moments to look back at my past goals and dreams. After reviewing my goals for 2016 I quickly realized that I didn’t make my personal growth and health a priority at all! From a herbal and homesteading perspective we accomplished most of what we set out to do last year which does make me feel quite proud, but personally I have a lot of work to do at making myself and my own journey a priority (sounds like a resolution don’t it?) .

Just as I wrote about last year, I am a BIG dreamer. I love having new projects to work on and skills to learn. It’s just my nature to keep busy and always want to learn new things. Each year I set my goals quite high knowing that I won’t accomplish all of them, but I find it keeps me motivated to keep trying. So here goes it folks, Spiraea Herbs + Snail Trails goals for 2017:

DISCLOSURE: In order for me to support myself and my herbal clinic, I may receive monetary compensation or other types of remuneration for my endorsement, recommendation, testimonial and/or link to any product or services from this blog. • After accomplishing ALL of our food related goals last year I’m inspired to make some more changes:
  • Bake all of our breads from scratch
  • Homemade pasta to replace store bought
  • Save up for a so flour milI l can grind all of our flour myself
  • Increase lacto-fermented foods consumption/creation
  • Experiment with more wild edibles
  • Try my hand a cheese making

Personal and Spiritual Growth

  • Books to read:
  • Physical health goals:
  • Walk the loop behind the property daily (treadmill for days when the weather doesn’t cooperate)
  • Yoga 2x per week

Once again I start a year with a massive goals list, but instead of feeling overwhelmed by this I am instead excited! So much to learn and accomplish in 2017. I’d love to hear about your goals and dreams for the upcoming year!
