Immersive Plant Experiences 2023

The time has come to gather in community to share in the beauty and wonder of the plant based healing and medicine. From flower essences and tinctures, to wild foods and infused oils, this year’s Immersive Plant Experiences will be like nothing else Spiraea has offered. Join Correne on a learning journey that will encompass all aspects of who you are as a human, nourishing your body, mind, and soul.

Each class is entirely unique, with the focus being on what is bloom at that time of year. This allows you to attend as many as you would like, immersing yourself in the world of botanicals. With less time spent in a classroom setting, and more time with hands-on plant based experiences, you will leave these experiences feeling confident, refreshed, and deeply connected with the land.

Hands-on components may include but are not limited to:

  • infused herbal oils and salves

  • flower essences creation and blending

  • tincture making

  • oxymels, honeys, vinegars, and elixirs

  • fermented and wild foods

  • plant based meditations and connection exercises

  • essential oil blending

  • tea blending and nourishing herbal infusions

  • guided plant walks and hands on identification practice

Participants get to take home all the creations we make during the classes, as well as any applicable resources, information sheets and handouts.

All classes will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Light snacks and beverages will be included. There will be a break for lunch.

Program Cost:

Individual Classes: $129.00 plus HST

Entire Program: $465 plus HST

Location:

All classes will take place at Spiraea Herbal Clinic and homestead in the hamlet of Glenarm in Kawartha Lakes, Ontario.

There is a non-refundable deposit of 25% due to the need to purchase supplies. This will not be refunded in the case of cancellation.

Nourish Your Skin ~ A Hands on Botanical Experience

Experience the power of herbs and botanicals in our natural skincare class. Join Correne as we dive into the importance our nourishing our largest organ system, both topically and from the inside out. We’ll learn about what products to avoid and why, chat about sustainable and exciting product swaps you can try and discuss dietary tweaks you can make to help nourish your skin from the inside. Then we’ll dive right into making your own all-natural, safe, and organic skincare products.

With over ten years of experience creating handcrafted herbal concoctions, Correne will expertly guide you through the process of making a variety of herbal creations from nourishing facial oils to body scrubs. You’ll leave this class confident and with the knowledge of how to create safer products for both you and your family.
